We are pleased to inform you that the Musée de l’Armée at Les Invalides in Paris is hosting an exhibition dedicated to the work of Jean Delpech on World War II. This exhibition runs until January 7, 2024, providing a unique opportunity to explore a lesser-known aspect of his work.
Immersion into Jean Delpech’s War Work
The exhibition features around forty drawings and engravings by Jean Delpech, illustrating his perspective on the war. These detailed and vivid works tell stories at the heart of history, from his military service in the 15th Alpine Hunters Battalion to his time in Germany in 1945 as a war correspondent.
Preserved Legacy
Jean Delpech, also an official painter for the navy and air force, donated approximately four hundred works to the Musée de l’Armée in 1972. This collection was further enriched in 2019 with the acquisition of 442 additional works, covering the years 1935 to 1958.
